API JS, Emoji and Data Types on Route last news

Happy new year for everyone!

A brand new year starting is cool, isn’t it? We always think that the next year will be better than the previous and here at Route we are sure of that and hope you too!

Let’s see the last 2015 news!

New powers to JavaScript API

Yes, our tool is for marketers, but if you have a dev friend you can do incredible things with our latest Javascript API’s features.

Now you can know if your identified visitor already did an specific event, as saw your pricing page, for example. This way you can show him a special offer, a custom layout or anything you want. With programming skills, of course.

Further, about the same identified visitor, you can request his info to our API in a fine grained way. You want to autofill your form with his data? Make an API call requesting his name and phone number.
Want to know if he is a CEO? Request us his Job Title, and so on.

Imagine the possibilities!

These features aren’t documented in our help docs yet. So, if you want to use it, send us a message and we’ll be happy to help you. But remember: you’ll need a programmer to make the adjustments.

Emojis! ♥ ★ ☼ ♫

Probably you already saw emojis in some newsletters that you’ve received. Emojis is that kind of figure-like symbols that could be copy-pasted in texts, as e-mails.

But probably you don’t know that using emojis your email’s conversion could boost (with the right content and subject fit) until 65% according to a Crazyegg research. And more: only 2% of the emails are using this approach correctly right now.

The key here is to know your audience (specially the devices where they read emails) and test a lot.

Prepared to boost your email opens and clicks?

Route now supports all kind of Unicode emojis in e-mails! What was associated to teenagers in the past, now its a resourceful feature that could say more with less specially at your subjects.

Use this table of supported emojis or visit Facebook Symbols to start using emojis on your email campaigns! ☺

In Data Types we trust

The identified contacts could have a lot of attributes and despite the fact that the majority are plain-text, some of them need to be numbers.

Use cases for number attributes are recording the customer lifetime value, how many times he did some kind of task in your website or app and much more.

Now you can map the attributes data types to make triggers even more accurate. This way, you can add conditions in your automations like ‘greater than’ and ‘less than’ in the right way.

What’s next?

We’re planning to deliver some cool new features in the first quarter. Some of them asked (and voted) for our users, as lead scoring and broadcast campaigns, and another ones as… surprise!

If you really need a specific feature to start using Route as your marketing automation tool or even to improve the usefulness for you, let us know!

After all, our team works for your business success and be sure that we’ll keep working hard in 2016.

Happy 2016!
